Primary Responsibilities Candidate must have experience with construction of, and/ or inspecting heavy civil construction projects that may include roadway drainage, grading, surfacing and bridges. Candidate must be able to read and understand construction plans and specifications; inspect all aspects of ongoing construction work to verify conformance to the construction contract documents; clearly communicate (orally and written) with Contractor, Owner, and Engineering personnel. Review and understand submittals and other construction documentation; determine quantities of work items installed; perform Quality Assurance Testing (or coordinate for QA testing by others); and submit work item quantities and documentation to the Construction Residency for contractor pay applications; and complete an electronic daily construction reports clearly documenting daily construction and related activities. Experience with Word and Excel is necessary. The job will require the ability to climb ladders, lift light loads and work 40-50 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required. A vehicle may be provided for travel to project locations within Eastern Oklahoma. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED required Associates Degree preferred (in related field) Construction Rep II : 2-4 years of experience preferred Construction Rep I : 5+ years of experience with current OHCIT Sampler Certification. Oklahoma Highway Construction Inspection Technician Sampler Certification required within 6 months of employment.
