Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Human Resources (HR) Manager to be based in Muscatine, Iowa. The incumbent will be involved in various tasks related to HR administration, staffing, employment benefits in a banking environment. This position is an outstanding opportunity to exercise and grow skills in areas such as benefits administration, full cycle recruiting, employee engagement, and more. This practitioner will play a transformational role in our client's Human Resources team, driving the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of new hire documentation and insurance forms, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Maintenance of a high level of confidentiality, posting data in employee files, and setting up and maintaining a variety of central files.

• Assistance with payroll and associated duties, ensuring all processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Maintenance of employee data, updating records as necessary to ensure accuracy.

• Facilitation of internal job postings, screening both internal and external applicants, and coordinating with temporary agencies as necessary.

• Organization and facilitation of job interviews, new hire orientation, and benefit activation.

• Administration of disability, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation, ensuring all relevant processes are followed correctly.

• Assistance with annual “open enrollment” period for benefit programs.

• Upholding the organization’s vision, mission, and values, promoting a working environment free of harassment of any type.

• Assurance of compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

• Dedication to internal and external customer service, ensuring all interactions are professional and respectful.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as HR Officer or HR Manager preferably in banking.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR management principles.

  • Proficient understanding of complex HR procedures and best practices.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in HRIS software.

  • BS/MS Degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • SHRM or PHR certifications desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven industry experience as an HR officer in banking or finance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Result driven individual with a proactive attitude.

  • Skills in conflict management, business negotiation, organization, decision-making.
