Harsco Environmental is the premier provider of material processing and environmental services to the global steel and metals industries. Our onsite mill services and resource recovery services offer sustainable solutions that maximize environmental benefit and return valuable raw material into production. We also have developed a range of by-products for specialized applications across industry, construction and agriculture, which utilize Harsco’s expertise in mineral materials.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for securing finished product to a railcar so it can be shipped offsite.

Environment : Indoors 10% Outdoor 90%

Physical Requirements:

  • Reach, squat, bend from trunk, and carry objects.

  • Lift/carry supplies of various dimensions and weights.

  • Ability to climb onto rail cars approx. 3 ft. high on uneven terrain.

  • Ability to push/pull different sizes and dimensions of materials

  • Ability to use touch , impact wrenches

  • Ability to swing an 8 lb. sledge hammer

Vision: Normal (correctable) vision

Personal Protective Equipment :

Required: Steel toe boots with metatarsal protection, hearing protection, protective glasses, Harness, Lockout lock with Lockout board and hard hats when performing work outside of office.

Physical Demand Levels of Work (PDL) : Medium

Lifting/Force exertion up to 35 lbs.

Dictionary of Occupational Titles: May perform duties under the following titles:

Work Schedule :

12-Hour rotating shifts

Overtime as needed.

Re quirements/Skills

  • Read, write and communicate in English at high school level.

  • High school degree or equivalent.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.

  • People leadership skills and ability to lead by example.

  • Ability to teach.

  • Self- motivator

  • Ability to operate impact wrenches

  • Ability to troubleshot and repair any type of torch maintenance that is needed.
