Position Summary : Manages the overall delivery of a project. Serves as the stakeholders’ contact, presents project status, manages the project change process, manages stakeholders’ expectations, escalates issues as appropriate, handles any billing/invoicing issues, and identifies opportunities for follow-up work or new projects. Escalates issues that impact timing or budget to management and works with PMO Manager to obtain additional resources as needed during project lifecycle.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Meet with appropriate stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders as well as other staff members; provide routine updates on project plans in order to keep all informed and project on track.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience :

  • Previous clinical and administrative experience in health care management, required.

  • Previous project management experience, required.

Education/Certification :

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification required within the first 6 months of employment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, required.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited advanced degree program in Health Care Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) considered a plus but not required.

Skills :

  • Incumbent must be able to think and act effectively in a high stress environment and handle several tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills, human relations skills, organizational skill, critical thinking skills, time management skills and management abilities.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Smart Sheet and/or other project management software.

Other :

  • Maintains a close working relationship with all clinical and ancillary department directors and managers, the medical staff, all members of administration, and the surrounding community.

Physical Requirements: Light Physical Agility Testing (PAT) Rating

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently , and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job and will be measured by post offer Physical Agility testing with a required “ Light ” rating to verify ability to meet the requirement.
