We at Siemens DISW develop sophisticated software tools that span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions, including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design and manufacturing solutions, cable harness tools, and embedded software.

As an Associate Application Engineer m/f/d , you will be involved in a structured Associate Application Engineer Training Program . This is a fast-track paid training program that challenges you to develop the expertise needed to tackle difficult technical problems.

Associate Application Engineers are members of a team of highly motivated individuals working with customers crafting the most sophisticated hardware and software systems in the world and whose applications span the electronics industry. This training program will give you outstanding insight into our technical marketing, product support, and sales organizations. Upon successful completion of this 12-month training program, you will be eligible to advance into one of these organizations. Post-program opportunities include Field Application Engineer, Corporate Applications Engineer, and Technical Marketing Engineer positions.

Associate positions require excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Some travel may be required.

Required Experience:

  • Good English Level

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; very self-motivated and results oriented. Some international travel may be required.

  • Able to integrate in an International Team with a good team player mentality.

We have multiple positions opened, and so we are looking for different profiles :

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical, Computer Engineering or similar. Knowledge of the PCB design process from schematic capture to layout is important.

  • IT Knowledge, database handling, and/or programming / scripting skills is a plus.

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical, Computer Engineering or similar. Knowledge of SPICE or IBIS modeling languages is required.

  • Knowledge of the PCB design process from schematic capture to layout is also required.

  • Knowledge and experience with signal integrity or power integrity analysis tools is highly desirable: HyperLynx SI/PI, Agilent ADS, ICX, Ansoft, Sigrity, and SiSoft.

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical, Computer Engineering or similar.

  • Knowledge of the PCB design process from schematic capture to layout to manufacturing is important.

  • Willing to discover Manufacturing world Is important, for instance :

o Acquire or improve knowledge of pick and place, inspection, and test equipment.

o Characterizing and implementing scripts, libraries and other functionality required for successful tool or flow deployment is a plus

  • Experience with the Valor products is an advantage, not a must.
