Location: NKP, Mumbai
Job Description:
Interest control process ensures maintaining the accuracy of the Interest & Dividend Receivables & Payables accounts through monitoring of Control accounts on daily/Monthly basis. This involves investigation of breaks, liaising with the Product Controllers & Ops team for the resolution of control breaks and clearing of suspense breaks
Role:
Maintain the accuracy of the Interest and Dividend Receivable and Payable Accounts
Control function that supports ICG Product Control by maintaining the accuracy of P&L as related to the above balance sheet accounts
Ensure positions are traded with correct accrued interest as related above balance sheet accounts
Ensure seamless flow of BAU activities.
Accounting and adjustment of Interest and Dividend through Control/ Suspense/ Margin Accounts.
Tracking the Maturity Dates for Receipts/Payments of Interest/ dividend and ensuring the payments are received/paid on the Maturity Date.
Performing Review functions to avoid errors in the BAU.
Timely and effective escalation to seniors for any long-standing breaks
Work allocation between team & Providing guidance to the junior team members
Working on reducing the red balances.
Liaising with PCG/Ops teams to get resolution on the variances.
Participate in calls with Stakeholders and explain root cause of breaks and resolution on the same
Analyze the queries raised and ensure solution to the stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance with experience in an Accounting/Finance related position
Chartered Accountant preferred

Strong financial accounting knowledge
Ability to work independently with limited direction
Strong inter-personal skills
Strong Problem solving ability
Knowledge of Citi systems preferred
