About This Role

Field Service Engineer is responsible to maintain and install Sciex products at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts. Conducts maintenance service and/or installation of LC and Mass Spectrometer Instruments at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.

Core Responsibilities

  • Completes and successfully pass training tasks on assigned products.

  • Working knowledge of Sciex and OEM products

  • Experienced in HPLC installation, maintenance, and Repair.

  • Experienced in performing installation of Mass Spectrometer instruments.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on LC and MS

  • Performs Qualification of LC and MS

  • Performs troubleshooting of complex problems related to Workflow and Hardware

  • Demonstrating the operations of the LC-MS/MS instruments to customers

  • Responsible for customer satisfaction of assigned accounts.

  • Demonstrates and completes all administration duties.

  • Maintains own tool and parts inventory to ensure adequate supply.

  • Ensure that response time, down time, first time fix targets are maintained at acceptable levels.

  • Ensure quality service support is being provided such that high levels of customer satisfaction contributes to win rate.

  • Work closely with Sales and Application Support teams to leverage competitive advantage for the business in the region.

  • Share business leads with the sales team.

  • Make timely escalations to the service leadership to get timely and relevant support for driving business in the region.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements :

  • MSc/BE in Electronics or Instrumentation; Specialization in Analytical Instrumentation

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Lifesciences or related industry

  • Understanding of analytical instrumentation in research, specific to mass spectrometry

  • 7+ Years of experience related to instruments like Mass Spec, HPLC, GC, LCMS etc

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Demonstrated experience of being a team player

  • Good command over the English Language

  • Proficiency in MS-Office

  • Flexibility to travel frequently at short notice.
