Google Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernization Specialist, Google Cloud in Mumbai, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience planning infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, technical pre-sales engineer, or enterprise architect.

  • Experience in one of the following: cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization, application/servers assessment/discovery.

  • Experience leading IT strategy discussions and design cloud adoption plans.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience as an IT infrastructure consultant or enterprise architect, as well as with implementing solutions on any public cloud.

  • Experience with operating systems, Linux system administration, or Enterprise applications.

  • Experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem, RDBMS, and NOSQL databases.

  • Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) concepts.

  • Knowledge of virtualization and networking concepts (e.g., Linux, hypervisors, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration, and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks) and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.

As a Customer Engineer on the Google Cloud Customer Engineering team, you will work with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective customers, existing customers, and partners understand Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions, estimations, and architectures to solve their business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

  • Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.

  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
