Citigroup Business Risk Senior Analyst in Mumbai, India

The Team: The Resource and Business Management team, within the Risk Chief Administrative Office, has strategic and operational responsibilities to support Citi's Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk Management (IRM) organization to achieve its priorities. This includes Resource and Financial Planning, Executive Scorecards, Location Strategy, Continuity of Business and other projects.

The Role: The Lead Analyst role for Headcount Management, within the Resource and Business Management team, will support the team across a wide variety of Workforce Management initiatives and deliverables in partnership with other members of the Resource and Business Management team as well as HR, and the CAO’s/Business Execution Leads across the IRM organization. The role will support to create and coordinate the annual planning and periodic forecast, conduct various ad hoc analyses that are complementary to the regular Planning and Analysis processes

Business Analyst role will also work closely with finance partners based in Mumbai during the planning and forecasting cycles. The role would require learning of financial processes and planning tools such as Resources@Citi used by the Risk Organization.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, manage and analyze Headcount reporting data/trends and provide periodic reporting.

  • Review attrition and transfers trends and highlight significant shifts to management.

  • Work with Business Execution leads to collect, consolidate and information as required by the Staffing Adequacy process.

  • Support broader Workforce Management initiatives and provide ad hoc analysis as deemed necessary, working with multiple stakeholders including CAO’s/Business Execution Leads and Human Resources

  • Support Headcount Annual / QMMF Planning process by working with NY Business Office team and Finance partners in Mumbai.

  • Assist in consolidation of information and in the development of decks and other material for internal senior leadership.

Key Competencies:

  • Be able to manage and run small processes and/or initiatives independently.

  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data management/ mining

  • Methodical and proactive thinker with strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Proven time and task management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively

  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Work closely with internal and external business partners

Qualification & Education:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in financial services preferred.

  • Knowledge of financial, analytical, and reporting tools

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred.
