Xpanxion is seeking a Principle IoT Architect-Practice Lead to join our team!
Job Summary: The IoT Solutions Architect will assist in designing and engineering of IoT solutions within the multiple sectors. The company is working on a healthcare ecosystem. The individual will be responsible for building out our IoT practice and own the full lifecycle.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience developing architectures across domains, functions, providing technical support to ensure implementation
Understanding end to end integration of Edge devices, PLC?s, and IoT Gateways to Cloud platforms
Provide mentorship of IoT best practices and solution architecture oversight
Providing solution guidance from board and chip manufacturers to support IoT builds with Hardware and Engineering Design teams
Cloud Platform Software Development - coding and mashup experience
Experience in multiple languages including, but not limited to: C, Embedded C, C++, Java, etc. along with Python and scripting
Hardware & API integration at layer level experience.
An Understanding of Apache KAFKA, MQTT, DDS or other data streaming services.
Must be able to pull data from many sensor systems and read, streamline it, and processes it.
Experience with Linux systems including Ubuntu and Rasbian and RasPi
Must be able to apply on different cloud platforms (AWS) including AWS IOT- AWS GreenGrass, AWS RDS, Scalable Time Series solutions with AWS & Azure services.
Develop hardened local IoT embedded software/firmware.
Develop edge computing algorithms on embedded systems while prioritizing data and energy consumption budgets.
Design and develop tools to optimize support and streamline full-stack platform automation and deployment support.
Problem solve remote deployments.
Build services that communicate with our server-side architecture over a wide range of communication technologies
Architect efficient solutions for clients by introducing and inserting the full solution design
Education and Experience Requirements: Associates degree and or proven experience with database systems and sensor technologies. Additional experience will include:
Strong foundational quantitative knowledge and skills; extensive training in math; statistics, physical science, engineering, or other related fields.
Excellent analytical abilities and experience with handling large and often complex datasets.
Technical expertise with statistical and analysis packages, modeling and data mining software.
Experience with sensor technologies and applications that interface with these technologies.
