Program Description

Offered at our Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, Florida, and Resort locations across the US; the Finance & Accounting College Internship Program is designed to last 3-6 months depending upon the participant's availability and the needs of the department.

The participants should expect to work a full-time schedule in this program with flexibility for part-time schedules based on participants course schedule. All College Internships are paid at an hourly wage.

The Finance & Accounting College Internship Program also offers:

  • Immersion program offering participants work experience in one specific department.

  • Exposure to work directly related to the analysis of company financials including budgeting and forecasting.

  • Exposure to work directly related to the financial activities of the company with a focus on accounting tasks relating to general ledger maintenance.

  • Comprehensive onboarding.

  • Participating in operational duties within assigned department.

  • eLearning opportunities.

  • Virtual Meetings with site and company leaders.

  • Networking with company-wide interns.

  • Innovation Project.

Internship Locations

The Finance & Accounting College Internship Program is offered at select locations in the following re gion: East.

These are the locations offering internships for summer seasons:

  • East Region

  • Branson, MO

*Housing accommodations and relocation are the student's responsibility.

Internship Position

The Finance & Accounting Corporate College Internship Program is available in the following departments/areas:

  • Operational Finance - The Resort Ops Finance internship is available in the following areas:

  • Finance

  • Accounting

  • Tax

  • Controllership

  • New Owners Administration

Participants will be expected to learn and preform the job duties of the position(s) within their assigned department. Interns may also be involved in department projects.

Participants will also learn components of what drives Guest Satisfaction and Associate Engagement on site will have opportunities to contribute to these important matters. Interns will be introduced to and have the opportunity to demonstrate the company's values and core beliefs.

Successful College Interns will be given a high level of consideration when applying for future career opportunities with Marriott Vacation Club.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Candidate should be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degree/majors: Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, Business Management, Risk Management or related major/minor.

  • Candidate must be in their junior or senior year.

Experience

  • Past Interns who are interested in completing an additional internship will be considered first. Previous performance rating will be taken into consideration.

  • Ability to navigate MS Office, Outlook and Excel

For Internships in California, the wage range is $18.50 - $23.60/hour depending on location.
