Are you ready to contribute to one of the most critical aspects of Microsoft Teams, the hub for team collaboration in Microsoft 365 with hundreds of thousands of organizations and hundreds of millions of users across the globe? We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join one of the Fundamentals Teams , responsible for ensuring that our users have a fast and fluid experience with the Teams app - from the moment they launch the app to every click, scroll and action they perform.

As a member of our team you will be at the forefront of developing and refining specialized solutions for delivering high-performing functionality with optimized memory consumption. You will join a forward-thinking team that drives innovations making the Teams app performance optimization process more straightforward and effective.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Key attributes are the ability to research and solve problems, develop quick prototypes, communicate across the organization, and drive action with data.

• Able to assimilate diverse opinions and negotiate solutions that work for the customer as well as the organization.

• Influence and promote a performance mindset across the entire Teams product and organization.

• Provide technical leadership to the more junior members of your team and across the organization.

• Comfortable with start-up style work environment: versatile, detail oriented, collaborative, can-do attitude with strong commitment.

Qualifications

• Profound experience developing and shipping software products

• Solid understanding of all aspects of the software development process with experience shipping professional grade software.

• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams across geographies.

• Customer-centric and product quality driven mindset.

• Prior experience in performance/memory is a plus.

• Experience with React or similar modern UI libraries is desired.
