As a QA Inspector, you would be part of our team responsible for ensuring that our aerospace clients receive only the highest quality parts. Individuals in this role are responsible for real-time product inspections, quality training, and client communication. To apply for this position, please follow the link below to fill out an application: https://kaastailored.com/careers/open-positions/{rel="nofollow"} Essential Duties: -Perform First Article Inspections and create the necessary documentation to prove product conformity. -Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products to ensure that all fall within customer specifications and requirements for form, fit, and function. -Read and understand aerospace drawings. -Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company quality assurance policies. -Perform an accurate physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies. -Maintain compliance with our QMS system in accordance with AS9100 Aerospace Standards. -Prepare required documents for compliance and traceability. -Initiate Non-Conformance reports (NCR) as required. -Manage workload to ensure a smooth flow of products. -Ensure inspection tools used for inspection have been calibrated and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment. -Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs. Ideally, Qualified applicants have: -A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. -Experience in blueprint reading preferred. -The ability to read a tape measure and ruler in tenths. -The desire to make a positive impact within the organization. -Willing and able to work in an open office environment. -An excellent eye for detail. -Able to stand for the duration of a shift (10 hrs) and lift 10 pounds frequently. May lift 50 pounds on occasion. -Able to see variations in color because of product inspection requirements.
