Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an Assembly Operator II who will be responsible for assembling and inspecting components to ensure the quality and functionality of the final product. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to quality will help us maintain our reputation for excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble parts and components to build finished products following standardized work instructions and diagrams

  • Perform visual and functional inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

  • Identify and report any defects or issues in the assembly process, and work with the team to resolve them

  • Operate machinery and tools used in the assembly process, ensuring safe and efficient operation

  • Maintain accurate records of production and quality control data, including completed checklists and reports

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues

  • Strive for efficient production by meeting or exceeding production targets and minimizing downtime

  • Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth and productive workflow

  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as an Assembly Operator or in a related role in a manufacturing environment (2+ years)

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

  • Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Good communication skills

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand for long periods and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. For specific jobs, employees may be required to wear a respirator or ear plugs.
