Danaher Corporation Account Manager VIC/TAS in MT WAVERLY (MELBOURNE), Australia

This role would require the person to be accountable for promotion and sales of all Beckman Coulter Life Science products within the allocated territory for Life Science in Victoria and Tasmania

Ensure promotion and sales of selected Life Sciences productsAchieve budgeted objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Promote selected company products through personal contact with life science scientists, laboratory personnel, purchasing staff and administrators.

    1. Liaise with and assist our customers to achieve a superior level of customer service. Attend to customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.

    2. Observe and advise management on the nature and extent of our competitor’s activities.

    3. Assess customer requirements, in line with the Account Development Plan, and advise on the most appropriate products and financial solutions to fulfil these requirements.

    4. Arrange product demonstrations for customer evaluation with the assistance of the appropriate Product and Marketing Specialists to achieve sales goals.

    5. Provide feedback to develop sales budgets and suggest appropriate strategies to achieve objectives.

    6. Undertake training courses or development programs as required to improve personal levels of knowledge and skill to the level required to meet personal and company objectives.

    7. Prepare quotations and financial proposals for customers in conjunction with CAS / Sales Management, using the resources available and maintaining the company’s profit objectives.

    8. Develop key accounts to reach their maximum potential by promoting the entire product range in conjunction with assistance from Product Specialists, CAS, Service Department and Senior Management.

T he person we are looking for requires:

  • The ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of life science researchers including lab staff, executive management, and key opinion leaders

  • A high level of self-motivation ensuring the ability to work under minimal supervision

  • At least 3 years proven experience with success in strategic sales

  • Experience in responding to tenders and sales presentations

  • Flexibility and the ability to respond to changing requirements dictated by market situation and/or company goals

  • Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise projects

  • A current drivers licence and the ability to travel when required

  • Proven written and verbal English skills

  • Proven computer literacy in tools like MS Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint, etc

  • CRM system experience, preferably in SalesForce.com.
