Location: Mt Vernon, NY

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour + Benefits

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

On-Site position

Entry-level HR position offers foundational experience in recruitment, employee relations, and administrative tasks, providing a solid base for career growth in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system

  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.

  • Assist with the New Hire process which includes, but is not limited to: All background clearances, collection of important documentation, and acting as a liaison for New Hires until their start date.

  • Maintain compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting

  • Maintain all aspects of Dayforce and onboarding.

  • Insure that all supplies, office equipment and forms used are up to date and available for use.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Human Resources Director as needed

  • Assist with special projects

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1-2-years’ experience in an HR or administrative assistant role or training.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize various, multi-faceted tasks.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to organize and manage files.
