Job Summary :

The responsibility of the clinic based athletic trainer is to provide patient care in the outpatient setting under the direction of a physician. The physician practice based athletic trainer will serve a pivotal role in clinic being responsible for obtaining patient histories, reconciling medication history, obtaining appropriate ancillary studies, assisting provider with in office procedures, DME fitting, application and education, applying and removing casts, patient education, and act as a liaison between the physician and patient. The physician practice athletic trainer must also coordinate with other clinical care team members to provide exceptional patient service and assist with other clinical and clerical duties to ensure optimization of patient experience within the practice.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program.

Experience: 1 year experience as an Athletic Trainer, previous clinic experience or fellowship training strongly preferred.

Licensure/Certification: SC State Certification from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and National Certification from Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) must be obtained prior to date of hire. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
