We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Service Team! Our technicians are a big reason why we have such an outstanding reputation in the material handling industry. What You Will Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, installations, and perform scheduled / unscheduled repairs and maintenance on equipment on customer demand and need.
- Diagnose and repair forklifts and other equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to the schedule.
- Perform necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized service van.
- Prepare documentation relating to each service call in a timely manner.
- Attend training classes and other company activities as required.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, promoting goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
- You will provide shop/field training to new technicians to supplement formal training programs.
What Makes Me Qualified?
- Need to maintain a valid driver's license.
- 1 to 3 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C electricity, and internal combustion.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and training materials, follow verbal and demonstrated instructions.
- Demonstrates a good mechanical and electrical aptitude, effectively utilizing volt, ohm, multi-meters, and oscilloscope.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members.
- Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability to make recommendations based on customer needs.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
