BEST Essential Services Job Coach in Mt Clemens, Michigan

Job Coaching provides one-on-one instruction to individuals who have been hired by an employer to help individuals learn job tasks, develop natural supports, and to adjust to the work environment to become independent employees. BEST Essential Services will perform a job task analysis and needs assessment fade plan that identifies specific qualitative and quantitative performance standards based on the employer's expectations and industry standards. The needs assessment fade plan will address individual employment needs and fading of supports (a systematic withdrawal of supports) as the individual learns job tasks and adjusts to the work environment.

The Job Coach will provide intensive support to help the client learn and become stable on the job. The Job Coach will also advise on job standards and work requirements for the client to gain independence. Job Coaching can also be used when job tasks change, and the worker needs to become acclimated to new tasks. Since each client has unique needs, job coaching services vary and may include task analysis, systematic instruction, observation and discussions on methods to improve, implementing reasonable accommodations, or assistive technology instruction. BEST Essential Services staff will work to revise and modify the needs assessment and job fading plan based on each individual's needs.

The outcome of the service is that the individual will be able to independently perform job tasks within the employer's accepted quality and quantity standards and the individual has successfully adjusted to the work environment.
