LinkedIn is currently making substantial investments in rebuilding its infrastructure and advancing Generative AI (GAI) technology. To ensure the security of our global members and the integrity of our platform, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As the Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at LinkedIn, you will be responsible for leading the Information Security organization, encompassing Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, Governance Risk and Compliance, and Security Infrastructure. The CISO organization sits within engineering and is looked at as such, requiring a leader who is not only strategic but also highly technical and capable of understanding the security needs of high-scale complex systems. You will be instrumental in fortifying LinkedIn's security posture, strategically guiding our investments, and ensuring the protection of our platform's integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard LinkedIn's infrastructure, data, and systems.

-Oversee all aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security awareness training.

-Lead the Identity & Access Management function to ensure secure access controls and authentication mechanisms across LinkedIn's ecosystem.

-Drive Governance Risk and Compliance initiatives to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

-Manage the Developer Security Infrastructure team to embed security best practices into the software development lifecycle, infusing cutting-edge technologies such as AI to elevate our security defenses.

-Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Legal, and Compliance, to integrate security into all aspects of LinkedIn's operations.

Provide executive leadership and guidance on security-related matters, including risk assessment, security audits, and security incident management.

-Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

-Experience with leadership in Information Security, with at least 15 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Strong technical background, with expertise in areas such as network security, cloud security, cryptography, and secure software development.

-Experience with leading large-scale security initiatives in complex, multi-cloud environments.

-In-depth knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and GDPR.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

-Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.

-Passion for driving a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

Travel: This role involves occasional global travel to engage with the global security team and stakeholders.

The pay range for this role is $260,000 to $426,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
