Google Senior Software Engineer, Mobile, Android in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with scaled application design and architecture.

  • 3 years of experience with Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Experience with android open source project(AOSP).

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Knowledge of embedded systems development, real-time operating system(RTOS) concepts, device drivers and hardware/software integration.

  • Understanding of networking transports and protocols, including Wi-Fi and bluetooth low energy(BT/BLE).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Contribute to the design and implementation of components in the split-compute software platform.

  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews, providing feedback to peers.

  • Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional peers to help plan and scope project work and successfully deliver the team’s goals.
