Intuit Senior Brand and Marketing Designer in Mountain View, California

Overview

Intuit’s Brand & Transformation team is looking for a wildly creative Senior Visual Designer to join our diverse team of creative talent. We are a centrally-located brand team that galvanizes our customers and employees around a meaningful and unified Intuit vision. Our design team leads Intuit’s visual identity, art direction, and brand design system across all channels including go-to-market/advertising, event experiences, video, digital/interactive activations, core brand deliverables, and beyond. We partner closely with executive stakeholders, x-org partners, and external agencies to scale our craft across the company.

What you'll bring

  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to articulate design rationale to non-designers

  • 5+ years of experience designing and extending brand visual identities, creating award-winning design pieces, scaling end-to-end event identities

  • Deep understanding and expertise in core areas of visual design, including typography, grid/layout, color theory, logo + identity design, design systems, photography, and how to create a range of expressive tones from combining those elements. Working knowledge of photo/video art direction a plus

  • Deep understanding of project and design processes that yield world-class work, and the ability to self-manage bandwidth to effectively meet milestones and deadlines

  • Intimate knowledge of the latest design tools and workflows, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Wrike and other project management tools. Experience with AI tools like Midjourney/Dalle a plus.

  • Working knowledge of production best practices for print and digital output, including experience coordinating with vendors, proofing, and file management for handoff

  • Comfortable working both independently and with internal/external creative collaborators, copywriters, art directors, etc.

  • Comfortable with a level of ambiguity and operating autonomously to ensure project progress, including clearly communicating with leaders and project stakeholders to ensure roadblocks are mitigated.

  • BA degree in graphic design or equivalent experience

How you will lead

  • Apply strategic visual thinking and design skills to deliver end-to-end brand creative visual solutions that build on business strategy and goals, builds equity in Intuit’s visual identity, and showcases world-class design refinement

  • Lead design buildout from project beginning to delivery, including research, go-wide explorations, concept refinement, and production delivery

  • Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs

  • Act as a creative leader for the organization, sharing inspiration, helping evangelize good design practices, mentoring junior creatives, and role modeling a collaborative creative studio mindset.

  • Collaborate effectively with other team designers, researchers, leadership/project stakeholders, program management, marketing, and other team members

  • Prioritize work & multi-task well; Wear multiple hats, self-manage creative bandwidth and clearly escalate constraints. Support adjacent areas like art direction and design production when needed
