Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience in product quality, manufacturing engineering with mobile, consumer electronics products or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience in Product Quality Control Systems, statistical methods, and cosmetic criteria and inspections.

  • Experience in Electronics product assembly, inspection, and test process development.

  • Experience in implementing quality escalation processes and ongoing product improvement.

  • Experience working with OEM partners.

The Pixel Product Quality team is looking for a Carrier Quality Engineer to be responsible for managing all carrier First Article Acceptance, deliverables on time, per the carrier’s requirements to meet the committed launch date. Your primary responsibility will be to anticipate, identify and resolve any product or schedule impact issues that affect the First Article Inspection (FAI) schedules. You will lead all the important learnings to further improve future product launches. You will work and collaborate with various internal teams like Carrier Program Manager, Technical Account Management, Product Operations, Product Development, Partnership, Reliability, and Reverse Logistics. You will also engage with Manufacturing and Supplier Development engineers as needed.The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Use technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish to ensure the carrier’s FAI requirements are met.

  • Consolidate all carrier FAI and test report requirements to improve visibility to internal stakeholders teams to align expectations and resources.

  • Work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

  • Maintain regular updates from the external parties and also share the latest updates with the internal teams.

  • Collaborate with the launch team to optimize the on-shelf date in support of the product launch.
