Actalent Assembly Technician in Mountain View, California

Description:

Assemble precision electromechanical parts by following diagrams and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments in a prototype engineering environment

Assemble cables, electrical connectors, into complex assemblies- working with raw components not just wiring/cables

Operate in a clean environment to assemble optical-electrical and opto-mechanical assemblies

Operate the testing equipment and document test results using templates and SOPs

Repairs, reworks assemblies to meet operation tolerance and quality

Verifies dimensions and clearances of components and parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using instruments such as micromenters, calipers, height gauges, and test equipment

Create parts kits and record tracking data such as serial numbers, part numbers, etc. to feed the assembly flow

Assist in inventory management by organizing the parts and enabling storage of components, subassemblies and finishes goods

Accurately follows all applicable manufacturing documentation in the assembly and testing of product

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Ideal candidates are gamers and/or tinkerers- building PCs as hobbies

Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours a day
