Role Description

As our Application Engineer for HR and Expense, you will optimize our human resources and expense management processes in Workday and SAP Concur. In order to do so, you will work closely with those in our HR and Finance teams to deeply understand their processes, identifying gaps and areas of improvement, then configuring the systems or finding integrations to remove them. You will also help test solutions, provide user testing, and support.

In this role, you'll:

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to deeply understand the HR and expense reporting processes. Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement, aiming to enhance overall process efficiency and user satisfaction.

  • Take ownership of configuring, customizing, and managing Workday for HR processes and SAP Concur for expense reporting, ensuring these systems effectively meet the organization's needs.

  • Ensure seamless integration between Workday, SAP Concur, and other related business systems, facilitating smooth data flow and operational efficiency across the organization.

  • Coordinate testing of new features, updates, and integrations within Workday and SAP Concur, ensuring systems meet business requirements and are free from defects before deployment.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions for users, promoting effective utilization of HR and expense management systems. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to resolve system issues promptly.

  • Act as a key liaison between HR, finance, IT, and external vendors, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding system requirements, changes, and updates.

  • Regularly monitor the performance of HR and expense management systems, generating reports to track usage, compliance, and efficiency of processes. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience working with ERP Systems, Workday, and/or SAP Concur, including end-to-end implementations, system configuration, customization, and integrations.

  • Understanding of HR operations, expense reporting processes, and the integration of these areas with broader business systems.

  • Experience designing and conducting user training and providing system support.

  • 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement with ability to enhance overall process efficiency and user satisfaction.

  • Experience as the primary liaison and management between the organization and service vendors, ensuring alignment on projects, and effectively communicating progress and challenges to internal stakeholders.

  • Exposure to SAP Finance, Siemens Teamcenter, Procure to Pay, Coupa, Vertex, Supply Chain, Nuvolo, Simple Legal, P6, Blackline, and Asignet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $185,000 - $203,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
