PACCAR Inc. Program Manager - Continuous Improvement & Special Projects in Mount Vernon, Washington

Requisition Summary This program manager will be responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement projects and other operational projects at PTC. Projects will include process improvement, process development, organizational change, workshop planning and facilitation, projects tied to operational change and efficiency and special projects and events. Projects may be focused on employee engagement and experiences, lab efficiency, improving external partnerships, alignment of global validation activities, streamlining the tools suite and establishing meaningful metrics to drive change. Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Job Functions / Responsibilities Work with the department manager, other PTC leaders or program managers to lead process improvement, process development, organizational change efforts, special projects and events. Facilitate workshops and working sessions in support of improvement efforts. Work to develop a method for assessment and prioritization of requested projects. Create, track, and communicate project schedules, deliverables, and budgets. Develop reporting and metrics. Maintain open and clear communication among all stakeholders. Responsible for resolving, communicating, and prioritizing project issues in a timely manner. Mentor and train others in the use of new processes, standards, and tools. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to project management. Qualifications Minimum 5 to 7 years in Project Management - planning, scheduling, tracking, and executing. 3 to 5 years in Operations Management or Leadership desired. 3 to 5 years in Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methods desired. 2 to 4 years leading organizational change efforts. Experience facilitating Kaizen events or other improvement workshops. Experience leading software delivery projects a plus. Software tools including SQL and Tableau and experience in data analysis desired. Able to communicate effectively across functional boundaries, and up and down the leadership chain. Able to establish a strong network across various organizations and disciplines. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities. Candidate must be organized and self-motivated, identifying and proactively addressing opportunities for program improvement. Ability to effectively evaluate proposals using sound judgment and present recommendations. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and achieve objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Experience in testing, automotive industry, and various vehicle technologies a plus.
