With our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Underground Construction Laborer to join our team in the Mount Vernon, WA area.

The Role

  • Assist in all phases of underground construction; site prep, excavation, filling, backfilling, hand digging, site clean-up, loading, unloading, and positioning equipment, shoring or bracing, placing underground utilities, placing and/or removing asphalt or concrete

  • Maintain proper care of all job sites, vehicles, and equipment

  • Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery

  • Maintain safe working habits and work conditions, according to all regulations, procedures, and company safety standards

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6+ months of relevant underground construction experience required

  • Valid Driver’s License required, Class A CDL a plus

  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

  • Ability to learn to operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment

  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools properly

  • Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption

  • Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time

  • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains and job sites

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
