Ohio Truck Equipment Welder / Fabricator in Mount Vernon, Ohio

Ohio Truck Equipment, a division of Robertson Truck Group which is a family owned and operated business since 1984 specializing in industry specific techniques in the up fitting of medium and heavy duty trucks is currently searching for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join the Team! Ohio Truck Equipment has the capability to fabricate and assemble trucks to facilitate up fitting of our vast product line for virtually any industry.

Position Title:           Welder / Fabricator

Location:                  Mount Vernon, OH 43050

Schedule:                 Full Time (Mon-Thurs 6:30am to 5pm) (Tues-Fri 6:30am to 5pm) (Mon-Fri 7:30am to 4pm) 

Responsibilities:               

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, locations of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances and material requirements to complete job tasks according to the product specifications.
  • Manually load sheet metal into machines.
  • Start machines, monitor their operation and record operation data.
  • Install and align specified drilling.
  • Set up and weld components.
  • Repair equipment and other components by welding and diagnosing electrical issues.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
  • Accurately record inventory used on job tasks through company Esti-Track software.

Qualifications:                  

  • 2-3 years of welding / fabrication experience is preferred.
  • General knowledge of DC electrical and hydraulics.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a positive work attitude and willingness to work with fellow team members.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and manuals, work with computer, machines and cranes.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, 100 pounds assisted.
  • Possess a commitment to safety and company safety policies.
  • Ability to maintain excellent housekeeping habits.
