MRW Custodian

The MRW Custodian is well-versed in a spectrum of cleaning techniques, equipped with the knowledge of various cleaning agents and the proficient use of cleaning tools and equipment. Demonstrating a keen attention to detail, this individual ensures that every aspect of the facility is thoroughly cleaned, contributing to a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The custodian is not merely confined to the indoor spaces but actively contributes to the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the immediate outdoor grounds. A distinctive aspect of this role involves active participation in the operation of an on-site recycling center. Additionally, responsibilities extend to handling Styrofoam condensing and managing the shredding of confidential papers for both the county agency and customers. This role not only contributes to the physical upkeep of the facilities but also aligns with broader goals of sustainability, safety, and creating a positive and functional environment for both staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will have:

·       Knowledge about cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents.

·       Efficient use of time to complete tasks within a specified schedule.

·       Thoroughness in cleaning and clearing, and noticing areas that require special attention.

·       Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

·       Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment and to prioritize and re-prioritize work assignments.

·       Adherence to safety protocols, ensuring proper use of equipment, and proactively identifying potential safety hazards.

·       Demonstrates effective communication with team members, supervisors, and program participants.

·       Capability to work harmoniously with others and collaboratively with a team.

·       Regular and dependable attendance.

·       Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background check.

·       A current, valid Ohio driver's license and ability to pass a driver's record check.
