ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOREMAN-CONCRETE. This position work weeks is Monday thru Friday, fulltime status, with overtime pay. Weekend work is occasionally required, start time varies, may be as early as 6am. This position is entitled to benefits upon completion of 90 day probationary period.

The Foreman is a skilled supervisor who is responsible to work side by side with the Superintendent, property owner, Crew Leader and Crew in order to complete a project in a given time limit. His job is to employ the suitable workers on the various tasks to complete the job, and supervise all phases of the construction project from start to end. The Foreman is also responsible for supervising other crews daily to ensure standards, quality, and company rules are followed. All Crew Leaders and Supervisors will consult the Foreman with issues and progress.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: • Overseeing the work and making sure it runs per plan and budget • Making sure safety precautions are followed including updating safety kits in case of any emergencies during the work. • Communicating with the supervisor regarding the crew both positive and negative. • Train employees on the job and help them as they learn new tasks. • Giving clear directions to workers • Making sure company rules are followed by all crews. • Ensure tools and equipment are brought back from job sites. • Ensure out of scope items or extras on the job sites are handled appropriately and approved by both the company and the customer • Checking in with the Superintendent regularly for daily/weekly schedule and progress updates. • Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites. • Inspecting blueprints for determining various aspects of structure. • Executing accident and incident reports. • Ability to competently operate a wide range of Heavy Equipment. • Take direction provided by superintendent and implement best practices to complete the tasks assigned. • Promote team building and provide dispute resolution techniques to assure the crew functions efficiently and as a team. • Provide excellent communication skills for all invested parties. • Identify design gaps, errors, and unexpected problems and create quality solutions. • Assist in the administration of daily documentation and reporting for the project • May be required at times to fulfill the role of Project Superintendent on smaller scale or short duration projects or when the Superintendent is away from the project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED Equivalent • Minimum 3 years of construction experience • Minimum 2 years of finisher experience • 1-3 years' experience as a Foreman • Relevant experience in leading/managing a crew. • Must have good communication skills. • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete construction (technology, materials, tools, equipment, and methods) • General knowledge of industry codes • Must be able to read drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, and material take-offs. • Familiar in the use and application of manual surveying tools • OSHA Certification, 10 Hour Minimum, 30 Hour Desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to work in extreme conditions -- temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time • Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs. • Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
