Knox Technical Center Position Title: Firefighter Instructor (Part-time) (Multiple positions) Reports To: Public Safety Coordinator Beginning Date: Immediately Compensation: $19/hour Acceptable Education, Training and Experience: • Five (5) years of experience in firefighting • Must be a current Ohio licensed firefighter • Must have a firefighter instructor certificate • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. • Satisfactory FBI/BCI background check, drug test, and reference check Description: Instructor for the Firefighter training programs. This is a part-time position and does not include benefits. Essential Functions: 1. Delivers lesson plans 2. Reinforces learning 3. Evaluates learning 4. Records learner progress 5. Counsels individual adult learners 6. Serves as role model 7. Fosters professional relationship with learners 8. Participates in the development of the educational program 9.
