Westchester Jewish Community Services CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER OR MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR in Mount Vernon, New York

Overview:

We are seeking dedicated Part-Time and Full-Time Clinicians to join our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to community members with psychiatric diagnoses, delivering care in a licensed outpatient mental health facility. These positions are 100% outpatient and currently operate under a hybrid model. Compensation ranges from $30.21-$40.10 per hour.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessment and develop written treatment plan with the client (collaborative documentation) in compliance with OMH regulations.

  • Provide appropriate clinical documentation and agency reports (e.g. clinician’s schedule, treatment plans) in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Provide treatment in evidence-based modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy.

  • Attend agency in-service training and staff meetings.

  • File timely insurance claim forms and maintain other necessary contacts with insurance companies.

  • Consult with other members of the team, as necessary.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • New York State licensure (LMFT, LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW) is required.

  • Familiarity and experience with evidenced-based treatments, knowledge of modern principles of social work, prior experience with children, community mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders.

  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
