ManpowerGroup Bookkeeper in Mount Vernon, New York

Our client, a Bakery Manufacturer is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Bookkeeping, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable and Account Reconciliation, 5 years related work experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Mt. Vernon, NY

Pay Range: 24.00/hr.

Schedule- First Shift M-Fri 10am-6pm

What’s the Job?

Job Duties

-Keeps accurate records of financial transactions

-Monitors delinquent accounts

-Prepares monthly statements and any other financial transactions and any other financial reports

-Answers customer questions regarding billing issues

-Uses computer systems to manage and monitor accounts receivables

-Meets standards for timeliness and accuracy

-Operates computer programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.

-Maintains records for all financial transactions on an on-going basis, as necessary

-Handles accounts receivables to ensure that proper payment is applied to customers’ accounts on an on-going basis

-Contacts customers and work with them to resolve payment problems to ensure low level accounts receivables.

-Check-off drivers returning from their routes, check cash, reconcile and hand over monies to the owner/General manager, on a daily basis.

-Calculates and prepares driver’s weekly commissions based on sales and forward weekly reports to payroll for payment.

-Reconciles all cash receipts and prepare bank deposits and forward to owner/ General Manager for bank deposits.

-Maintains all inventory records, follow-through on any discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.

-Prepares and processes invoices for customers on a weekly basis.

-Receives and renews all incoming invoices; prepares and forwards for payment, on a regular and on-going basis.

-Assists in the billing of walk-in customers for products ordered, when necessary.

-Must be able to work on a sixth day if necessary

-Will be required to take deposits to the bank on occasions

-Will be required to lock up and secure the facility at the end of the work day

Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Accounting Software

Minimum five (5) years of related work experience

Strong math, analytical and data entry skills
