Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Southern Westchester County, New York, for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is pivotal within the financial team, specifically in the area of vendor invoice processing, financial data reconciliation, and internal and external audit preparation. The successful candidate will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of financial activities.

Responsibilities:

• Review vendor invoices meticulously, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date • Prepare vouchers for payment processing in a timely manner • Perform data entry tasks with high attention to detail, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded • Utilize multiple financial systems to reconcile contract financial information • Assist in maintaining internal accounting controls by suggesting and implementing policies and procedures • Participate in preparing documents for both internal and external audits • Ensure all financial information is prepared and delivered within set deadlines • Liaise with external organizations/agencies to exchange financial information, verifying its accuracy • Generate financial reports for senior management, maintaining accuracy and timeliness • Coordinate the filing, archiving, and distribution of financial documents • Analyze and resolve complex issues or discrepancies that arise regarding financial processes • Review and approve expense reports as needed • Process and reconcile company credit card purchases • Code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes to ensure proper entry into the financial system • Prepare non-inventory purchase order requisitions and attach the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation • Investigate and resolve issues associated with processing invoices and purchase orders. Requirements • Proficient in the use of NetSuite and/or Concur software; MUST have one • Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP) • Familiarity with Concur Expense software • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers • Strong proficiency in English and in Microsoft Office • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Ability to manage priorities and workflow • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
