1st Shift Hours: M-Th 6am-4:30pm

Who Are We?

Subsite Electronics, located in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky is a division of The Toro Company. Subsite Electronics provides underground construction professionals the most comprehensive suite of electronic products in the industry, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) guidance equipment, utility locators, utility inspection systems, and equipment machine controls

What Will You Do?

This employee performs mechanical work building custom trucks and using various hand and power tools (wrenches, hammers, wood working tools, etc.). This includes working with mechanical, plumbing, fuel, and electrical systems. The employee also performs other duties as assigned.

  • Read information from blueprints, drawings, production records, written instructions, technical documents, etc.

  • Fit, position, fasten and fabricate components to build equipment or sub-assemblies of equipment using vises, clamps, wrenches, air-powered tools, pliers, wood working tools etc.

  • Handle components and completed pieces of equipment. This includes lifting, moving, and positioning them, sometimes with a forklift and sometimes manually.

  • Use a computer to check the location, inventory, and routing of parts.

  • Record information electronically.

  • Through behavior and communication, maintain positive relationships with customers, clients, supervisors, and co-workers.

  • Meet or exceed typical expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.

What Will You Need?

  • Have appropriate basic mechanical skills and aptitude, including using tools such as table saw, miter saw, band saw, jigsaw, circular saw, hack saw, drill, router, drill press, welder, horizontal band saw and various hand tools. This should be indicated by past performance of mechanical repair, maintenance, wood working or assembly work.

  • Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills, including the ability to understand written instructions, maintain production records, and perform routine calculations and read a tape measure.

  • Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.

  • Professional mechanical assembly, cabinet fabrication or repair experience would be a plus.
