A Snapshotof Your Day

You bring a passion for organizing, preparing, and supporting complex service projects on power plant generators. You have demonstrated a strong ability to prioritize and organize, have the ability to understand complex technical issues, and are able to communicate effectively to all team members.

Responsibilities range from attending project planning meetings, supporting Generator Service field engineers, work package development, technical reviews, schedule creation, and tool ordering. In addition to regular project job duties there will be opportunities to work on development projects and procedure improvement. If you are interested in supporting field engineers in a fast paced and dynamic environment this challenge may be for you!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide projectengineering oversight for major turbine generator repair projects andmanage maintenance.

  • Work integrallywith Product Line Managers, Marketing, and Technical Services managers toidentify and develop projects.

  • Perform projectrisk assessments.

  • Develop andutilize schedules which provide clarity of objectives to customer andSiemens and permit adjustments to achieve desired commitments.

  • Develop detailedwork instructions for completion of contract work scopes.

  • Directinvolvement in tooling ordering, tooling improvements, and developmentprojects to meet product line needs.

  • Use SiemensEnergy information systems necessary to be effective.

What You Bring

  • B.S. inMechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized university isrequired.

  • Must have 5+years of experience in field service.

  • Must have workingknowledge of large electrical apparatus including but not limited togenerator inspection, testing, generator rewinds and repairs.

  • Must possessorganizational skills, planning, attention to detail and safety culture.

  • Required amountof travel is 10%, domestic.

  • Applicants mustbe legally authorized for employment in the United States without need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energyemployees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internaltransfers.
