Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant (PA) Masters in Science Program in the School of Rehabilitation and Medical Sciences is recruiting for multiple part-time fixed term faculty positions. These faculty positions will work under the direction of the Program Director and may involve year-round work related to the didactic phases of the program.

The anticipated start date for this benefit eligible position is August 19, 2024. However, supplemental summer assignments may be available beginning in May. Compensation is commensurate with quali?cations and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Teaching courses in the ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program • Assisting with student remediation process • Student advising • Participating in program committee work • Supporting on-going ARC-PA accreditation maintenance • Maintaining commitment to the profession • Participating in the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA) • Participating in state and national organizations to support the educational mission of the program

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or accredited MD/DO program • Earned Master's degree or subsequent terminal degree • Three years clinical experience • Current certi?cation by the National Commission on Certi?cation of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) if applicable • Licensed or be eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan • Effective communication skills • Demonstrated commitment to diversity • Able to work independently or in group • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching or clinical preceptor experience.
