Position Summary:
The Director of Assessment and Accreditation oversees the continuous development and improvement of all academic programs in the Colleges of Health Professions (CHP ) and the College of Arts & Media (CAM ). Specifically, the Director leads and directs all assessment efforts to assure compliance with university policies and external accreditation requirements. The director contributes to a culture of academic excellence through assessment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in program evaluation and assessment. Experience with curriculum management, academic records databases, and program evaluation software. Strong knowledge of assessment methodologies including qualitative and quantitative methods, data management, survey design, and analysis. Strong project management skills including development of timelines and action plans to address potential challenges with assessment data collection and reporting. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to practices supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides vision and leadership in planning, directing, and managing program assessment and initiatives to promote a culture of assessment and collaboration. Establishes and facilitates equity-centered assessment and evaluation protocols for continuous improvement of academic programs across the college of Health Professions (CHP ) and the College of Arts & Media (CAM ). Conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses of assessment and evaluation data. Assists in the completion of program research and evaluation studies through data collection, data analysis, and report writing. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards related to program assessment. Ensures program outcomes and accreditation standards are aligned with course objectives through systems such as curriculum mapping. Assists faculty with assessment plan development for programs including the core values, mission statement, goals, student learning outcomes, measures, targets, and curriculum maps. Supports faculty and staff in the development of surveys, questionnaires, and interview protocols. Supports faculty with the development of program assessment rubrics and analysis of assessment results. Coordinates and oversees data collection schedules in partnership with faculty members. Assists faculty members with academic program reviews. Administers, maintains, and provides training for software solutions used to document and facilitate assessment and continuous improvement. Communicates timelines, approval processes, and assessment-related information to faculty and staff. Coordinates with Academic Planning and Analysis to report annual program enrollment data to external organizations (e.g., ASEE ). Serves as the college liaison to communicate information to other university constituencies affecting student learning, program improvement, and accreditation. Actively participates on committees such as the Assessment Council, CHP and CAM College Curriculum Committee, and CHP and CAM program assessment committees. Performs other duties as assigned.
