COORDINATOR/PROSPECTIVE STUDENT SVCS/EHSRCPosition Number: 74240Type of Recruitment: ExternalPosition Summary:The Coordinator of Prospective Student Services serves as the College ofEducation & Human Services (CEHS) liaison between the UndergraduateAdmissions Office and the academic departments to coordinate and leadprospective student initiatives within the college. This position alsoprovides leadership as the Director of the EHS Residential College. Intheir role, the Coordinator will oversee the creation and implementationof recruitment events for prospective students including freshmen andtransfer students and provides active participation on college anduniversity committees as it relates to recruitment and collegeonboarding. This position reports to a member of the Dean's LeadershipTeam.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related field such as sales/marketing or studentaffairs-related field.Three years of relevant experience which includes experience workingdirectly with undergraduate and/or high school students.Exceptional, demonstrated communication and presentation skills using avariety of formats.Experience with creating and implementing events and programs.Demonstrated organizational skills, including ability to plan, establishpriorities, and handle multiple tasks and projects.Team player who is energetic, highly motivated, and a self-starter.Proven ability to relate and work well with diverse faculty,administrators, staff, students, families, volunteers, and the generalpublic.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Willingness to travel locally and regionally.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in student personnel services, higher education,leadership, or a related field such as sales.One year direct recruitment experience and/or experience planning andimplementing major events.Understanding of the student enrollment and recruitment process,including conceptualizing, planning, and implementing admissions,recruitment, evaluation, technical, and yield activities.Experience establishing and accomplishing short and long-term goals andobjectives.Experience in a higher education environment.Familiarity with SLATE or other forms of CRM.Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinates with departments/centers to develop and implementcollege-wide and department specific recruitment events such as EHSDiscoveryDays, Behind the Curtain, and Think2Design.Provides coordination within CEHS for University-sponsored recruitmentevents.Partners with internal and external units in presenting to variousprospective student audiences including transfer students and incomingfreshman.Coordinates recruitment communications with college and UndergraduateAdmissions Office personnel.Works closely with Advising and Admissions staff to ensure accuratepresentation of academic programs, admission requirements, and financialaid/scholarship information.Represents the CEHS on the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ CollegeLiaison Committee.Engages with EHS leadership and chairs of academic departments todiscuss enrollment and recruitment goals/initiatives.Provides recruitment and yield data to college leadership.Oversees the EHS Student Ambassador program including selection,training, and oversight of Ambassadors.Directs the EHS Residential College (EHSRC), including setting long termstrategic goals for this living/learning community related torecruitment and retention of undergraduate students and developing andimplementing initiatives to achieve the program’s goals.Networks with CMU departments to create opportunities for studentengagement and professional development for EHSRC students.Identifies and coordinates experiential learning and civic engagementopportunities for students wi
