Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer (In-office or Hybrid)

POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer for our Overhead Transmission design team.. The candidate has the option of office-based work in our Mount Laurel, NJ office or hybrid (at least 2 days in-office) from a mutually acceptable location. This position has a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of overhead transmission line projects

  • PLS-CADD model

  • PLS-POLE models

  • Project design criteria

  • Steel pole loading calculations and drawings

  • Engineering drawings and specifications

  • Foundation designs and drawings

  • Bill of materials

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to others. Perform detailed engineering reviews of the work submitted by others.

  • Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Fundamentals of Engineering licensure

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering

  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.

  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

  • At least 3 years of experience using PLS-CADD

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in transmission line design as outlined above

  • Professional Engineering license (PE) is strongly preferred but not required

  • Managerial and leadership skills a plus

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $85-$125K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
