Delco Development Aloft Night Auditor in Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Position Overview:

The Night Auditor welcomes and registers guests, establishes credit, directs guest to room, relays messages, answers questions about services, secures valuables. The position also assists in completion of accounting daily, balancing systems, and research out of balance amounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role

  • Welcomes guest by greeting, answering questions, responding to requests

  • Registers guest by obtaining or confirming room requirements, verifying pre-registration, assigning room, obtaining information and signatures, issuing guest room keys

  • Collects revenue by entering services and charges, computing bill, obtaining payment and establishes credit by verifying credit cards or obtaining cash

  • Conveys information to guest by receiving and transmitting messages, mail, faxes, packages, etc.

  • Provides a concierge duty to guest by answering inquiries regarding hotel and other services guest may require, such as entertainment, shopping, business and travel

  • Maintains records by entering room and guest account data

  • Makes hotel and other reservations by entering or telephoning requirements, checking availability, confirming requirements

  • Secures guest valuables by processing lost and found

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing projects/tasks as needed

  • Completes a nightly bucket check

  • Runs night audit feature in property management according to the property night audit checklist

  • Reconcile pay per view movie/game system with property management system

  • Print appropriate reports and distribute to management

  • Prepare front desk for upcoming day by removing departing registration cards, posting updated reports, etc.

  • Assist in completion of the daily for accounting – researching any out of balance amounts each night

  • Batch credit cards/gift cards and research any variance each night

  • Ensure operating systems balance each night and organizes credit card receipts by type

  • Research any balances in accounts nightly and check them in and out each night

  • Provide necessary daily revenues reporting to management each morning

  • Communicate to management and Front Desk Supervision of overnight details

  • Fill out Manager On Duty (MOD) checklist

  • Communicates with Supervisor for any special duties, or requests

  • Assists in other nightly processes or other duties as specified by management on an "as need" basis

    Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience preferred; prior supervisory experience a plus

  • Ability to work all shifts, including overnights and weekends.

  • Excellent customer-oriented telephone etiquette required

  • Projects professional tone at all times and with the ability to quickly establish rapport with guest

  • Ability to multitask, insure accuracy, and remain highly organized

  • Ability to stand and/or sit long for periods during shift

  • Lift up to thirty (30) pounds, unassisted

  • Exposure to chemicals
