Description

Responsible for supporting all aspects of the mission of RCBC as well as the Enrollment Management Division to which the Outreach & Admissions Department reports. This individual will assist the Director and Assistant Director of Outreach & Admissions in the development and implementation of a college-wide recruitment plan encompassing both on- and off-campus events.

This is a Support Staff union position as stated in the Support Staff collective bargaining agreement- Grade 9.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, coordination, and implementation of both on and off campus recruitment activities and events

  • Represent Rowan College at Burlington County at business, industry, community, and high school events

  • Provide individualized attention to prospective students, visitors, and callers to the Office of Outreach and Admissions

  • Respond to prospective student inquires and keep set appointments to meet with prospective students

  • Perform on-site information sessions at various locations in and around the Burlington County area

  • Develop and maintain school/guidance counselor relationships

  • Provide information and assistance to prospective students regarding college policies, procedures, academic programs, and non-credit programs

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Required:

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Two to three years of professional experience in an educational setting.

  • Experience working directly with diverse populations.

Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and other database management software

  • Motivated individual who is results-driven, innovative, and open to new ideas and projects

  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize projects and tasks

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Additional Information

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:

Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
