McLaren Health Care CT Technologist - McLaren Careers in Mount Clemens, Michigan

Hours per pay period: 80

Schedule: 3pm-11:30pm

Sign On Bonus: $10,000

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, performs diagnostic CT and x-ray procedures not requiring direct supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform CT examinations with and without contrast media.

  2. Operate various models of CT scanners.

  3. Assists physicians and nurses for biopsy procedures, when necessary.

  4. Make calibration checks, calibrate, adjust and maintain CT equipment.

  5. Prepare patients for examination and explains procedures to patients.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Satisfactory completion of a Radiology Program

  • Registered with the ARRT

  • Certified as a Computed Tomography Technologist

  • If not CT certified, cross training from another ARRT modality to become CT certified within 12 months

  • BLS card from AHA required before start date (valid at least 60 days beyond start date)

Preferred:

  • Six months of prior work experience as a CT Technologist
