JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Summary: Safely Operates the finish saw to cut aluminum lineal into specified lengths per traveler and ensure dimensions are within tolerance to meet the production demands of customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze profile prints and travelers Operate finishing saw to cut aluminum adjusting saw as necessary Inspects material for any quality concerns Identify non-conforming material and consult with Lead and Head Stretcher Conduct simple maintenance and repair on press Ensure the correct cut length is entered into saw HMI screen. Verify cut length with tape measure is within allowable tolerance per customer specifications. Use air gun to blow off saw chips Count total pieces on every rack Enter data to print saw tags and generate oven load lists. Verify profile dimensions are within tolerance and submit measurements taken via computer. Notify press lead if dimensions are out of tolerance. Operate Automated saw system, Stacker, Basket Crane, Conveyor system, and Age Oven Occasionally operate overhead crane Adjusts the blade speed as needed to complete the cut. Attends to the saw at all times while in operation. Follows all safety rules at all times. Checks and maintains oil levels on saw. Fills as needed to ensure proper operation. Must communicate effectively with coworkers on all shifts to ensure smooth transition of workload. Keep work station clean and orderly. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Desired Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge or production operations. Previous experience with small hand tools is beneficial Ability to operate, read, and maintain calipers, micrometers, gages, and another test equipment.
