Mullins Cheese Inc. Experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in Mosinee, Wisconsin

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team. Mullins Cheese/Mullins Whey are a 4th generation family owned business. Our current location has been producing dairy products for over 50 years and we currently and proudly ship dairy products globally. Job Duties

Perform work to ensure that all electrical and instrumentation devices for the facility are functioning properly. Duties to include but not limited to installation, setup, and calibration on instruments. Reading and understanding PLC’s, PID’s, HMI’s, I/O and process flows. Assist in the installation, commission, and startup of automation systems throughout the Cheese and Whey plants.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Repair or replace defective equipment or equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, reassemble equipment.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical conditions do not deteriorate.

  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

  • Diagnose, repair, assemble, install wiring, electrical and electrical compononets on machinery in the facility.

  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions

  • Read and understand schematic drawings

  • Assemble control, motor, and HMI panels

  • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical software to review necessary drawings

  • Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specifiaction and government agencies

  • Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product

  • Follow Safety Procedures

  • Maintain clean work environment

  • Comply with all processes and procedures of SQF 2000 to assure safe, quality product

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Instrumentation and/or Journeyman Card for Electrical Instrumentation

  • Experience: 0-2 years in manufacturing position as an E&I Technician

  • Willing and Able to perform all job essential functions with or without accommodation

  • Willing and Able to be exposed to/perform all physical and environmental factors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Instrumentation and/or Journeyman Card for Electrical Instrumentation

  • Experience: 2-5 years as an E&I Technician position.

  • Education: Certification from Vocational School; associated degree in industrial/mechanical technology; education not required if have sufficient experience.

  • Willing and Able to perform all job essential functions with or without accommodation

Schedule Requirements:

Normal: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Rotating between Days and Nights. Schedule details can be discussed during interview/hiring process.

Wage

  • $30-$40 per hour, wage open based upon experience

  • $3 shift premium from 6pm-6am Monday - Friday and all day on Saturdays

  • Sundays 1.5x all day

  • 1.5x pay over 40 hours
