Position Summary

 

Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a full-time Fiscal Analyst 2 in the college's Business Office.  The Fiscal Analyst 2 provides a complex variety of fiscal budgeting, managing and analysis support to the Business Office. This position is responsible to perform independent budget and program planning analysis and supporting grant and contract accounting.  Other essential responsibilities include processing student-related payments of various types, complex problem solving, and the provision of excellent customer service to students, staff, and community members.  This is an overtime eligible position and reports to to the Assistant Director of Finance.

Essential Job Duties

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:  Primary essential duties and responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:

Review, monitor, and perform fiscal oversight and administration of record keeping systems for all budget transactions, reporting, and reconciliation.  

Recommend changes in existing procedures to improve program budget management and application; assist in the development of procedures and instructions.  

Monitor budget control procedures for compliance with established policies; ensure effectiveness through judicious budget application and management.

Conduct complex planning and budget studies of ongoing and proposed programs and area; recommend alternate course of action to managers; provide data and background to coordinate program and budget planning.

Prepare and present expenditure forecasts for budget or other management purposes.

Prepare and post transactions to the college accounting system with high-level of accuracy, double-checking input for accuracy and consistency.

Input, revise and monitor grant and contract budgets and reconcile to grantor budget.

Charge allowable indirect costs to grant accounts.

Review and input budget revisions for grant and contract accounts.
