rrPosition Summary:

rThe Assistant Director provides leadership to the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is responsible for the development of community-wide educational programming for governing councils, member organizations and affiliated alumni. Will provide leadership for assessment and data management of student organizations and departmental initiatives, reporting to Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and collaborates with Department of Student Involvement team and colleagues within the Division of Student Affairs, support student learning and development through community building, advocacy and student engagement.

rrMinimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree Education, Communications, Psychology, or Sociology

{=html} <!-- --> - Two years of campus leadership or advising experience in a higher education setting - Coordinating formal recruitment events, specifically regarding rules and regulations of the National Panhellenic Conference - Experience with fraternal organizations on a university campus - Experience developing and presenting educational programs and training activities - Experience working with students, faculty, staff, alumni and volunteers - Risk reduction experience through collaboration or direct experience with higher education institutions, conferences, (inter)national headquarters and chapters - Managing multiple priorities and resolving conflict

rrPreferred Qualifications:

r

  • Masters Degree or in process of completing a graduate program in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Student Services, Educational Leadership, Counseling, Adult Organizational Learning and Leadership or related field
  • Three years professional experience effectively interacting with students, faculty and administrators in a college or university setting
  • Professional experience as a fraternity/sorority leadership consultant or similar role
  • Alumni of the University of Idaho
  • Knowledge of student development theory or learning development strategies
  • Member of inter/national sorority or fraternity
  • Experience designing curriculum focused on holistic development for chapters and governing councils

  • Ability to move between event spaces and locations for extended periods of time during community-wide events
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry and/or otherwise move materials up to 25 pounds
