BayCare Health System Scheduler in Morton Plant, United States

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Scheduler who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare’s top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

The Scheduler is responsible for:

  • Effectively and efficiently addressing the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by carefully collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information.

  • Primary responsibilities are to accurately schedule procedures, deliver complex clinical examination instructions, document patient response to clinical questions, and keep the patient’s physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures.

  • Schedulers must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates.

  • In addition, perform general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties.

  • Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically.

  • Must be able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation.

Education

  • Required High School or Equivalent

  • Preferred associate degree
