Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Services and Solutions group (SSG) is seeking a motivated and organized Event Specialist to join our global events team. In this role, you’ll manage logistics, liaise with vendors, and ensure the seamless execution of events. As a Marketing Event Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our team by handling various events designed to boost brand awareness and drive demand generation for SSG, while also enhancing and supporting our internal events. This role is highly collaborative and requires someone that is equally creative and organized. You will work closely with business group VP’s product marketing, Geo marketing and sales teams.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Event Coordination : Assist in planning and managing events, including conferences, meetings, and internal special events.

  • Budget Adherence: Support budget management by adhering to global financial guidelines and assisting with payment processes and vendor management through tools like Anaplan and Ariba.

  • Logistics Management: Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, registration, and on-site coordination to ensure all event details are executed smoothly.

  • Coordination & Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across different regions, using project management tools and regular status calls to provide updates.

  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site assistance during events, helping to manage any issues and ensure a positive experience for attendees.

  • Data Tracking & Reporting: Track event activities and performance metrics globally, providing updates and reports to marketing teams and stakeholders across different regions.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachalors degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or event planning.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships. with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required for events.

  • Experience working in the technology services industry is preferred

  • Ability to pivot and adapt to situations under pressure
