Application Engineer

Job Description

Renesas is looking for an Application Engineer in our Systems Solutions Technology group. The individual is part an overall team that research, architects, designs and builds system end products and modules using Renesas components.

Responsibilities:

Application Engineer will work in a lab setting programing micro controllers and working on system debug.

The individual is part of a team that is exposed to all facets of the design cycle. This person will have an opportunity to participate in each phase of the project. The position requires one to research the final product/ problem, formulate thoughts and ideas utilizing their own creative juices as well as receiving inputs from peers and the product line(s) and propose a solution to the problem.

Upon review, the project is designed, debugged and demonstrated.

This individual will utilize the following lab equipment:

  • Emulators / In-system debuggers

  • Power Supplies

  • Arbitrary Waveform Generators

  • Oscilloscope

  • Logic analyzer

  • Networks Analyzer

  • Load Supplies.

  • Soldering equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience, internships apply.

  • Familiarity with MCU tools and embedded C coding that makes use of libraries and APIs.

  • Experience with Renesas proprietary FIT, FSP, PG firmware. Knowledge of Eclipse (e2Studio) IDE is a plus.
